Mar. 31st, 2018 01:36 pm [He's dying.
It's the only thing Hinata is certain of as he lies on the cold, hard floor. He can feel the blood slipping from his body, pooling around him, as he stares face up at the ceiling and gasps desperately for air. He knows the spear was meant for someone else - someone who should've been here, dying instead of him, but is somehow safely at home. He does not understand how he knows this.
It doesn't make sense, because somehow he knows he's in his sixteen year old body, even though he's twenty one. Even though he'd almost brought disaster into the world, and forgot he'd planned to.
He remembers things he shouldn't, and yet he remembers it all. The poisonous feelings that welled up in his chest looking at Hope's Peak. Being drugged out of his mind as they played God with his brain. Watching Nanami die. The killing game he'd brought to fruition with his own hands. Waking up from it to save the ones who needed to be saved.
Hinata remembers peaceful island life that shouldn't have happened. He remembers being pulled away from that and into a game of dating, where he met a beautiful girl who smelled of herbs and stole his first kiss.
But he shouldn't, because it doesn't make sense to remember all of it for some reason.
He tilts his head at the sound of footsteps. Something tingles in his arms; not quite a vein and not quite a nerve. It feels... strange.
The thought is forgotten as he sees who's approaching, and...
"...You should wear it like that more. Not that I'm an expert on it or anything, but it suits you."
His eyes are wide. His fading heart gives a stronger beat than the others, and somehow he finds the strength to speak.]

Date: 2018-03-31 09:30 pm (UTC)[She recognizes that face even though she shouldn't; it's honestly a little strange being here again, doing something that she shouldn't. There's something wrong going on here and while Tohsaka Rin can't exactly pin what that oddity is, she knows it's there.
This is a repeating event that was possible in a multitude of worlds. Usually it was Emiya-kun that lay down there, dying. She knew this, somehow.
But this boy in front of her... he's someone completely different. And she knows his name, somehow.]
Don't talk too much, or else you might die for real. [And then, to someone who isn't there, who shouldn't beー] Archer, make sure you track down that Servant and find out where he's escaping to.
[Even though she knows when she shouldn't, she needs to make sure. Events are already playing out rather differently after all.
Closing her eyes, she takes out a pendant from her pocket.]
This wasn't meant for you, but...
[She has to use it here. Closing her eyes, she chants the spell in a foreign language; a bright red glow emanating from the jewel before it dies out. He should at least be out of the woods now.
But even so, she can't just leave him there. Archer may not approve of this, but it's fine. This is the decision she's made and that's final. If she gets reprimanded, she'll just deal with that in time.
For the meantime, she goes ahead and strengthens her body, enough so that she can lift Hinata with ease after pocketing her father's heirloom. The bloodstain will still linger, but that's something that she doesn't have to deal with immediately.
This is more important.]
Okay, you might want to hold on tight if you're awake, Hinata-kun. This might end up being a rocky ride back.
[If only because strengthening her body and making things light means that she's going to be travelling a lot faster than a normal human being.]
