SOURCE ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: This is what he'll look like unless otherwise stated somewhere! Pretty average looking teen sans the ahoge, perhaps in some eyes could be considered a "boy next door" type. It should probably be noted that he stands rather tall for his age at 179 cm (or 5'11"). ♚ FASHION: Canonly we never see him in anything but his uniform, but in Yogen or any other games he'll be in the simplest clothes he can find when he's not wearing what he came in with. For memes and such, if he isn't in uniform his typical style will be simple shirts and jeans unless the situation calls for something else. ♚ DEMEANOUR: Very practical and serious-minded. Hinata can be a little too blunt or rude at times, but he will use wisdom with heavier topics. It can take a little time, but he warms up to people after a bit and will look out for them. In more relaxed and non-life-threatening situations, he'll loosen up a lot more. ♚ SOUND: Here's a clip of Hinata's introduction! In case that ever gets taken down and/or people aren't able to watch that for ever reason, Hinata is voiced by Minami Takayama. and we're going to conveniently avoid talking about the English dub The pitch that she uses for him is deeper than for some of the voices she uses for other boys, such as Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan and Taiki Kudou from Digimon Xros Wars, but is still on the higher range for a male. Can be a little rough/grainy at times or childish, depending on how his voice peaks. Also, he only speaks Japanese and is abysmal at anything else (for example - even though English should be taught in most high schools, he can't recognize the language when he sees it on two separate occasions). ♚ SCENT: He smells like ~Sunlight~. But no, probably... salt, with a hint of something earthy. And whatever soap happens to be on hand, though his tastes wouldn't be anything with excessive perfume. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: He has partial amnesia, as he can't remember what his talent is. For those that would want to try and read his mind, the circumstances surrounding this amnesia and the contents of his mind are extremely spoiler-heavy, so if you are not canon familiar please contact me before using any kind of mind reading powers on him. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: None to be had, he is a powerless human teenager. ☄ OOC ♚ BACKTAGGING: Always willing to! I can be terribly slow at times (especially if it's a meme/PSL), so please give me a poke if you need me to prioritize anything. However, I will backtag things into the sun. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: For both Hinata's sake and my own, I'd prefer to keep this extremely limited! Possibly okay under certain circumstances, but talk it out with me beforehand. ♚ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: None! Warnings before any heavier content, such as suicide or rape, would be highly preferred, but I'm able to handle the topics on an OOC level. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Absolutely okay on my end, and Hinata will fluster but not necessarily be opposed. (If it's someone he knows, he will fluster even more but will be even more okay with it.) He might be embarrassed and confused if you hug him, and he will definitely be embarrassed and confused if you kiss him. (and he's useless at flirting but please feel free to do it to him, he'll flail about) In terms of 18+ things - whether they be an in-game relationship or in shippy threads - I'm totally okay with it happening, but I would prefer to fade to black before they Do The Do if that's alright! (please do keep in mind that he's 16-17 at the default canon point I play him from and that I'd like to keep things age appropriate, but we can discuss as necessary) ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: I'd like to plot things out first before he, you know, dies or anything. But in general if it's physical or vocal fighting, or even killing as long as I'm given a heads up, my thoughts are always "heck yes mess him up". The things I'll say no to would be loss of limbs/damaging his eyes/any kind of egregious wounding he couldn't heal from. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: YES PLEASE. In the case of Yogen, I'd like to give him some time and let things develop organically since his priority is kind of surviving and getting back to his friends, but I'm absolutely open to seeing how things go. For memes and PSLs, anything and everything is fair game. I play Hinata as bi with a female lean, and I'm open to trying any cross-canon ships or characters not listed here. In terms of castmates, my favorites are ordered as follows: Komaeda, Nanami, Tsumiki, Koizumi, Pekoyama, Akamatsu, Naegi, Saihara and Kuzuryuu. ♚ WARNINGS: The Dangan Ronpa series is one that is rife with a bunch of dark themes, such as violence and murder towards teenagers in the senior high school range, blood, psychological horror, torture, suicide, child abuse, self-harm, kidnapping, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. (I believe I've covered all of the subjects that require a warning, but please feel free to tell me if I've missed anything!) These aren't things that are likely to come up in common conversation, but I want to give people a fair warning that there's a lot of heavy things going on beyond what's on the surface. Hinata in particular doesn't experience all of these, but the ones that impact him directly would be depression and anxiety, and possibly some ptsd-related symptoms (trouble sleeping, nightmares when he does, hypervigilance, and survivor's guilt). Some of the other things may come up if he's asked about his classmates or the Killing Game they were forced to participate in, but I'm more than happy to avoid these things and work around them if you'd rather not deal with them, so don't hesitate to let me know on his opt-out post!
